Meet REBECCA

Hi! I'm Rebecca. I'm a Somatic Sexologist, Sex Educator and counsellor. I have spent decades studying and am passionate about sharing knowledge and empowering people about their bodies and ways to experience and enjoy a natural, healthy and satisfying sex life free from shame, disconnection and pain. I work with people of all genders and sexual orientations.

I have worked with clients in intimacy & sexuality, relationships, counselling, sacred sexuality, doula services and somatic sex education. I’ve run women’s circles, events for women and for couples. I've presented at a number of events on the topic of sex.

I'm a neuroplasticity geek at heart and love the science that is emerging to support somatic therapy. I love talking about and sharing knowledge on sexuality & intimacy, including the parts usually hidden from others.

My approach is through counselling and coaching, using somatic practices to help my clients overcome sexual difficulties, cultivate pleasure and ways to communicate. As a former birth doula I understand how birth and motherhood can impact on a woman’s body and sex life.

My work is the culmination of a life-long journey, formalised through extensive training and experience assisting other practitioners. My qualifications include a Bachelor in Health Science, Diploma of Counselling, Certificate in Embodied Somatic Sexological Bodywork, Certificate in Somatic Sex Education and Embodied Counselling. I've completed many Tantra trainings including with the Australian School of Tantra, Doula Certification with Australian Doula College, Professional Recovery & Wellness Coach and Certificate IV in Training.

I continue to study in the field of sex and relating and am currently undergoing a Graduate Diploma in Somatic Sexology with the Institute of Somatic Sexology.

My passion for work has lead me to sit on the committee (currently as Treasurer) of the Somatic Sex Educators' Association of Australasia (SSEAA) and a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

Outside of work and study, I love time in nature, watching the sky change colours, dancing in the kitchen and connecting with friends and family.

Based in Newcastle, Australia, I work in the Hunter Region, on the Central Coast and beyond via video conferencing.

WHAT I DO

I work with individuals, couples and deliver workshops. I support clients to feel safe to connect with their body, hear their body's desires, experience and cultivate their sexual energy, build arousal and orgasm. I specialise in learning how to orgasm, increase sensation, access more pleasure, feel comfortable in your body, anatomy education, communication techniques, creating boundaries and consent, body mapping.

Knowledge
MY QUALIFICATIONS

My qualifications include a Bachelor in Health Science, Diploma of Counselling, Certificate in Embodied Somatic Sexological Bodywork, Certificate in Somatic Sex Educator and Embodied Counselling. I am continuing my studies and currently completing a Graduate Diploma of Somatic Sexology.

I have completed many Tantra trainings over the past 20 years including training with the Australian School of Tantra. I am a Professional Recovery and Wellness Coach, certified by Calm Lion Training and Certificate IV in Trainer & Assessor.

I'm the Treasurer of the Somatic Sex Educators' Association of Australasia (SSEAA) and a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
